The ‘Niels Juel’ is a Danish ‘Iver Huitfedlt’ class air-defence frigate. It was moored in Szczecin on Tuesday, 14 May, in honor of the royal visit of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth.

The ‘Niels Juel’ was built in the Odense steel shipyard, and was launched in 2010. She has a length of 137.6 m, a beam of 19.5 m and a draught of 6.3 m. The frigate can travel at a maximum speed of 28 knots. She has a crew of 101, and can accommodate up to 165.
